Merry KissMoose

I made two of these cards to send to my nephew and niece, both toddlers.  I thought they'd love the shaker aspect.

Have a furry Christmas

It's been a long time since I've blogged!  I didn't craft for MONTHS....but I finally got my crafting desire and mojo back.  Now it's time to get my blogging back on track to share my cards.

I made a TON of holiday shaker cards this year.

Stamp is from Simon Says Stamp.  The shaker is combination of sequins and beads.

Have an awesome holiday season!

Holiday wreath

I saw THIS wreath on Pinterest recently.  I needed to make a new wreath for my Grandma so I thought I'd give it a try.

I used red and white yarn.  I cut off the strings on the little ornaments and hot glued them directly to the wreath.

Sorry about the picture.  It gets so dark early and my picture taking needs help! :)

Have an awesome day.

'tis the Season

This was a test card for me.  I used 4 different distress inks (bundled sage, peacock feathers, mowed lawn and peeled paint).  I put the ink on my craft sheet, mixing them together and then put my stamp into the ink.  Didn't quite turn out how I imagined, I'm sure the next time will only be an improvement.

The tree is a Hero Arts stamp, the sentiment is a $1 stamp.

Have an awesome holiday season!

For my last project, I made more treat holders.

These are lollipop holders from My Favorite Things.  The Joy stamp is from The Stamps of Life.

I did use tootsie pops in this project, but you could also use cake pops!

12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop - Day 11

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop!

You should have arrived from Theresa's blog.  You can start the hop from the beginning at Lisa's blog.

It's day 11 of 12 days of fabulous Holiday projects!  This year I'll be giving loaves of banana bread as gifts for some.  Today's project, I made two tags to go on my bread.

This tag is a small wooden clipboard.  I covered it with pattern paper, stamped Merry Christmas along the bottom.  The image is from A Muse, and happens to be one that cracks me up!

This tag was made from a craft inventory type tag.  I inked the edges, added a bit of pattern paper and cut out a Unity Stamp Co snowman.  I stamped 'tis the season on the bottom.

I added this to the back of both tags!  I used twine to wrap around my bread and attach the tag.

See you tomorrow with the last Holiday 2012 project!  Have an awesome day.

You should have arrived from Theresa's blog.  You can start the hop from the beginning at Lisa's blog.

It's day 10 of 12 days of fabulous Holiday projects!  For today's project, I made a quick and easy gift bag.

I used a plain white gift bag.  I added pattern paper to one side.  The mitten was created using my Cricut.  I stamped the chevron using Lawn Fawn stamp, then heat embossed.

I doodled around the bottom of the mitten with a white gel pen.

12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop - Day 9

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop!

You should have arrived from Theresa's blog.  You can start the hop from the beginning at Lisa's blog.

It's day 9 of 12 days of fabulous Holiday projects!

Today's project was a true labor of love.  I've been saving pickle jars for well over a year with the intention of making them into a craft project.  What I didn't really count on was having to get the pickle smell out of a pickle jar before using them.  It was quite the adventure with a lot of trial, error and a curse word or two thrown in just because I could, but finally they were pickle smell free!  I repurposed my pickle jars into homemade dog treat jars!!  At the time I took these pictures, I hadn't made my dog treats yet.  I filled one of the jars with store bought treats and left the rest of the jars empty.  I ended up with 14 of these!  Good thing I know a lot of dog owners.

I used Create A Critter 2 to create my holiday dog.  He's cut at 3.5 inches, I hid the face cuts and used PK dog faces stamp.

I used paw print ribbon to wrap around the lid...mostly to hide the expiration date of the pickles. LOL

Overall I used three different PK doggie face stamps.  I used a white gel pen on the eyes and a red gel pen on the tongue.

Personally, I like this doggie face stamp the best!

A paw print border punch was used on the red cardstock.

I heat embossed the lid with a stamp I got in the $1 bin at Michaels.  The dog bone is also from Create A Critter 2.

Welcome to day 8 of 12 days of fabulous Holiday projects!  For my project, I made a Holiday Wreath, another gift for my Grandma.

I used 2 inch squares of red and white felt.  I hot glued green glitter balls into the center some of the squares.

12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop - Day 7

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop!

You should have arrived from Theresa's blog.  You can start the hop from the beginning at Lisa's blog.

It's day 7 of 12 days of fabulous holiday projects!  Today I made another quick and easy gift giving idea.  I made a pouch of cardstock to put a package of hot chocolate and a candy cane.

The stamp is from Hero Arts.  The label was created on my Cricut machine.

I used a scoring board to make the bottom of the pouch.  I used brads to hold the pouch in place.

I used a decorative punch to get the scallop edge.  Not including the green cardstock base, all the other papers were scraps!  Woo hoo!!  Gotta love a project that doesn't create scraps. :)

12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop - Day 5

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop!

You should have arrived from Theresa's blog.  You can start the hop from the beginning at Lisa's blog.

It's day 5 of 12 days of fabulous Holiday projects!  I made treat boxes!  This time of year, there's are so many people you can give a simple treat to as a way of saying Happy Holidays.  These candy boxes were made with A|Muse Studio candy box die.  The snowman and tree cut outs are separate dies that are included with the candy box set.

No, you are not imagining anything....those are two different polka dot patters!  (just checking to see if you are paying attention here!)

A view of the top of the candy box.

I cut a piece of clear overhead projector paper to cover the holes.  I filled the boxes with skittles!  A little plain, yes, but truly CAS!  :)
