Wreaths

Earlier this month I went on a four day crafting retreat in Ohio.  While I was there I made these two wreaths for my Grandma to hang on her door.

This wreath I first saw on pinterest and decided that I could easily do that!  It's a styrofoam wreath.  I cut red, white and blue felt into 2 inch squares.  I folded each square twice, then I pinned the felt to the wreath.  I did this over and over and over and over again until it filled started to fill in.  My stars were cut using the Cricut then glued to the felt using a glue gun.  It turned out fabulous!

There was no inspiration for this wreath, it came from me!  I used light and dark green, white and pink felt.  Same as above, cut the felt into 2 inch squares, double folded and pinned onto the wreath.  The flowers were made using the Cricut (Art Philosophy cartridge).  I made the flowers three different sizes.  I inked the edges before I folded them.  I started with the four big flowers then filled in with felt and more flowers from there.  This wreath took me about 8 hours to make but was worth every minute once my Grandma told me how much she liked it.  =)

Have an awesome day!

It's My Party Blog Hop

Welcome to our Party Decor Blog Hop.   We have a fantastic group of ladies who love to make party decorations and we are excited to share our projects with you today!

If you just happened to find my blog, thank-you so much.  However, so you don't miss awesome projects or the chance to win blog candy, you will want to start at the beginning at http://mincedpaper.blogspot.com.

The timing of this hop was PERFECT for my project! My husband's birthday is Monday, so I made a happy birthday banner for him. The downside is, I had to be creative in taking my pictures so he wouldn't see his birthday banner before his birthday! I used a door to display my pictures, when I use my banner on Monday, I will display the banner on a wall in our dining room. I didn't want him to see it before his big day.

I created my banner on my gypsy. I used Art Philosophy for the banner and Tie the Knot Cricut cartridge for the monograms. The four critters on the ends of the banner are from Create a Critter while the the birthday chick is from Once Upon A Princess cricut cartridge.

I did use foam tape to pop up the monograms. I used twine that I taped behind my banner to string them together.

Hope you enjoyed my project!

My projects have a theme! Unintentional, it just sort of happened that way. My theme is babies. I used five different cartridges....CTMH Art Philosophy, Paper Dolls Dress Up, All Mixed Up, B is for Boy, and Baby Steps.

The Rocking Horse card uses Paper Dolls Dress Up and CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridges.  The card base uses Art Philosophy cartridge, page 63.  I used the card (cut at 5 inches), layer 1 and the square are both cut at 4.53 inches.  The rocking horse comes from Paper Dolls Dress Up, pg 36 accessory and is cut at 4.88 inches.  I used my white and black gel pen to doodle around the edges.  I used crystal, glam pink and cinnamon stickles to decorate the rocking horse.

This card uses Baby Steps Cricut cartridge.  I cut the outfit at 4 inches, using a white gel pen to doodle down the sides and the top of the pocket.  The card base is 6x6.  I glued down blue gems in the corners.

This card is so adorable!  The base is 6x6.  I used All Mixed Up and B is for Boy Cricut cartridges.  Baby and girl were cut from All Mixed Up at 1.47 inches.  Zebra is from B is for Boy and cut at 4.41 inches.  I used light purple twine to wrap around my pattern paper.

Here's the entire line up!  Up next is Kathy!

Would You Ever Guess Wednesday- Art Philosophy

Time for another WYEGW!  I love to do these projects.  It's so fun to see the variety of options available.

This might be the best clean and simple card I have ever made.  And trust me, it was hard not to add more to it but I felt like it needed to be simple.

I used the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge "card" feature and cut at 6.41 inches.  You will find the particular cut I did on page 37.  I added red cardstock on the inside and tied red twine.

Check out My Cricut Craft Room blog for more projects!

Have an awesome day!

This hop happens the first weekend of every month...don't freak out though, you don't have 100 blogs to go through.  We uses multiple cartridges per blog.

You should have arrived from Jenn's blog.  If not, be sure to head to My Cricut Craft Room and start from the beginning.

I am showcasing FOUR different cartridges today.  Baby Steps, 3 Birds on Parade, Fabulous Finds and Birthday Bash.

My first card uses Baby Steps Cricut Cartridge.  This card will be going to my Nephew who turns One in February.

My card base is 5.75 x 5.75 inches, in blue American Crafts cardstock.  The pattern paper is from Animal Crackers DCWV stack.  I ran the upper solid red portion through the cuttlebug.

The Happy 1st Birthday was cut at 3.5 inches.  The cupcake was also cut at 3.5 inches.  I used a white gel pen to decorate the cupcake and candle.

This card uses 3 Birds on Parade.

This is an A2 size card.  This is the "swim bird" found on page 33 and is cut at 3.5 inches.  I used Peachy Keen critter faces and colored in the beak with an orange gel pen.  The sentiment came from Pink Cat Studios summer set.

This card will be donated to Operation Write Home.  If you're not familiar with OWH, they send black handmade cards to the troops to write in and send back home to their families.  It's a FABULOUS organization.  You can help by sending cards or donating shipping funds.

This card was made using Birthday Bash

This card is also A2 sized.  This gift bag was cut at 3 inches and can be found on page 59.  I used American Crafts cardstock.  The pink backgound mat was cut with a nestabilities die.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up.  This card is also being donated to Operation Write Home.  This card was very fun to make, I know I'll be doing more in the future.

This treat box was decorated using Fabulous Finds.

I do believe I have found a new love.  Making little treat boxes and decorating them!  I made the box using the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  It was my first time....and OMG, I do believe I'm hooked!

I used Fabulous Finds to make the luggage tag on page 108, it's cut at 3.5 inches.  I watched a YouTube video a while back that showed using this cut wrapped around ribbon, I thought I'd try that too.

The box was cut at 6.41 inches, I used the Gypsy to get the cut size.

Originally I was going to put a little tissue paper inside my box, however I had some pink felt on my desk and thought I'd try that instead.  I like how it matches my luggage tag.  I filled my treat box with Kisses.

This is a picture without the felt to show you the handles.

Next stop is Marji!

Here's the entire line up ...
