Card Day Tuesday-- Valentine Card

Today's theme at My Cricut Craft Room is Valentine's.

I made a 5.75 x 5.75 inch card using American Crafts cardstock as my base and as my green mat on the pattern paper.  The pattern paper is gorgeous.  I've always loved this Love paper.  My image is from Some Odd Girl's January clear stamp set release.  I used copic markers to color her.

My heart border came from Lyrical Letters and I cut it at 2.54 inches (I used my gypsy to get the correct sizing.).  I added the white dashes around every other heart with a white gel pen.  I used my sewing machine to stitch around the entire card.

My Cricut Craft Room- Letter E

It's Letter "E" day at My Cricut Craft Room. Our projects need to start with an "E" in some form.

My project is an "E"lf card!

I'm LOVING my Elf card!  It's the first time I've made this little guy and I adore him.  He is from the Jolly Holidays Cricut Cartridge.  I used my gypsy to design this card.  The Elf is cut at 4.5 inches.  I hid the face contours and used Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kid faces for the face.  I colored in the white of his eyes with a gel pen.  I also used my copic E00 skin white marker to color in his face and hands.  My card is 6x6 in size.  I used a border punch along the bottom of my strip of green pattern paper.  The sentiment is from Some Odd Girl Christmas stamp set.

Be sure to check My Cricut Craft Room blog for more samples of today's project.

Have an awesome day!

Winter/Snow Day at Crafty Contagion

It's the 4th Saturday of the month!  At Crafty Contagion, that means a new challenge to take part in.  Today's challenge theme is Winter/Snow.

My card is 6x6.  The image is from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps.  My snowflakes were cut from the Christmas Cricut Cartridge (I believe it was the freebie that came with registering your gypsy).  I did ink a few of my snowflakes to make them pop up off the page a bit more.

Be sure to link your winter/snow cards at the Crafty Contagion blog.

Have an awesome weekend!

Flutter By Wednesday Challenge #187

Happy Friday!!  Yippee!  I'm so looking forward to the weekend.  Hope I can get in some serious crafting time.

Here's my entry for this week's Flutter By Wednesday Challenge.  Sometimes when you design a card in your head it works out better than planned, sometimes it doesn't go as planned.  This one didn't go as planned.  I love this butterfly set by Fiskars, but looking at the card now it seems like the black ink is too bold.

Thanks for looking and have an awesome weekend!

Theme Day Thursday--Birthday

It's Theme Day Thursday at My Cricut Craft Room and today's theme is Birthday.

I made a very simple, but extremely fun birthday card!

The size of the card is 5.5 by 2 3/4....actually very small.  I used Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge and designed the entire card on my gypsy.  The card base was cut at 2.65 inches.  The "ready, set, blow" is cut at 2.3 inches.  I used Scribbles 3D Paint- Glittering Crystals on the candle to make it stand out.

I'm going to make some more of these little guys, but I think I'll add some pattern paper to spruce it up more.

Be sure to check My Cricut Craft Room for more projects!

Have an awesome day.

WYEGW- Birthday Card

It's Wednesday and you know what that means!  It's "Would you ever guess Wednesday" at My Cricut Craft Room.

I made a 6x6 birthday card.

I used the Simply Sweet Cricut Cartridge.  I used the "stitched circle" function and cut it at 4 inches.  I used the same cartridge and feature for the birthday present circle.  That was cut at 1.5 inches.  I used my white gel pen to stitch around the present circle as well as the write "Happy--Happy--" all around the circle.  I cut my pattern paper into 1.5 inch squares, cut them down the center and adhered them to the corners of my card.  I also used my gel pen to stitch around the triangles.

Be sure to check out My Cricut Craft Room blog for more projects!

My Cricut Craft Room- Letter D

Today is letter "D" day at My Cricut Craft Room!  Any project, any cartridge....just as long as something starts with a Letter "D".

I used "D"oodlecharms Cricut cartridge to make this Birthday Card.

The card size is A2.  I cut the party hat from Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge at 3.5 inches.  I also used the shadow feature.  The tassel at the top of the hat is popped up with foam tape.  The sentiment is from a Unity Stamp set.

This card will be going to Operation Write Home.

Be sure to check My Cricut Craft Room blog for more projects.

Theme Thursday-- Valentine Die Cuts

Somehow I lost my post for today!  It's all blank. :(   I threw away my notes, so I don't have all the information to tell you sizes, etc. Sorry!

I used Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge and the "paper" and sentiment are stamps from The Stamps of Life.

Hopefully Blogger will not lose any of my other posts!
Have a great day,

Flutter by Wednesday #186

It's open challenge at Flutter by Wednesday this week.

I am going to New Orleans this weekend to go to the A|Muse Studio national conference.  I made this cute arrangement to give to my roommate! (Sure hope she doesn't follow my blog....pretty sure she doesn't. LOL)

All of the products to make this are A|Muse Studio products with the exception of the Cricut cartridge I used to make the popcorn box and the M&M's.

Here are some more pictures!

Would You Ever Guess Wednesday January 18th

Welcome to another WYEGW at Erica's Craft Room!  Be sure to check Erica's Craft Room blog for other DT member projects.  You won't believe the variety of projects we showcase every day.

For today's project I used Pack Your Bags, I used the word and shadow feature.  I cut the shadow feature at 4 inches in white cardstock.  Then I cut the first words first layer in black cardstock and the second layer in silver grayish glitter paper.

I made a 12x12 scrapbook page *gasp*.  It's very rare for me to do make a 12x12!  I used a punch along the top of the darker paper.  I added bling to the cruise ship.

Thanks for looking!  Have an awesome day.

My Cricut Craft Room-- Letter C

Today is the letter "C" day at My Cricut Craft room.

I used Campin' Critters Cricut cartridge to make my card.  I have to confess that I have been wanting to make this particular cut every since I first got this cartridge.  The visual cracks me up!

My card base is 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 yellow American Crafts cardstock.  My pattern paper is 5.5 x 5.5 inches and from DCWV.  I also used American Crafts cardstock on all of my cricut cuts.  This cut is from page 21 and was cut at 3.5 inches.  I did the shadow and all the layers.  I used a white gel pen to color in the eyes instead of using the very very very small piece of paper.  The sentiment is from a Kraftin Kimmie stamp set.

Theme Day Thursday-- Laundry

Today is Theme Day Thursday at Erica's Craft Room.  Today's theme is laundry.  While I'm not a big fan of laundry, I am a fan of creating a scene.  I had this scene instantly come to mind.

My card base is 6x6.  I started by stamping my palm tree trunks, then the palm leaves.  I used two different colors of green to stamp my leaves, angled differently each time.  The palm tree stamp set is from The Stamps of Life.  Next I stamped my Cowboy stamp (stamp is from Rubbernecker stamps).  I colored my cowboy and the palm tree trunks with copic markers.  I used Non-Smear Pastels chalk to make my grass and my sky.

My laundry line was made using the Country Life Cricut cartridge.  I cut the blackout feature of the laundry line at 2 inches.  I then cut the layers only, also at 2 inches.  I glued twine down to represent the laundry line. I used stickles to make my "clothes pins".

Thanks for looking!  Be sure to visit Erica's Craft room to see more projects with today's theme.

Have an awesome day!

Chick Challenge #12

I'm loving my Unity stamps!!  Especially my Ippity Unity stamps.  Here's my card for this week's challenge at Chick Challenges with Ippity by Unity.

The challenge was to use a sketch.  I used papers that I received from Rona when I won the Ippity chick challenge back in November. (fun papers!)  I used one of the stamps I received from her as well.  I used a nestabilities to cut my image and inked the edges.

Thanks for looking!  Have an awesome day.

Would You Ever Guess Wednesday Jan 11th

Welcome to another WYEGW!  To see more WYEGW projects go to Erica's Craft Room.

For today's project I am using the Pack Your Bags Cricut cartridge.  I designed my card using the Gypsy.  I am using the card feature of the car cut found on page 23 of the Pack Your Bags manual.  I cut the card at 4 inches, then cut the layers found on the card at 3 inches.  The card base is cut at 4 inches as well.

Be sure to visit Erica's Craft Room blog for more projects each and every day!

Flutter by Wednesday #185

Today is a special Flutter by Wednesday for me!  My friend Danni that runs the Flutter By challenges and I have a mini challenge among the two of us.  Last month at our monthly craft meeting we both purchased two bottles of really bright stickles.

Aren't they pretty??  I just love bright colors!  The challenge between Danni and I is to use our bright stickles on today's Flutter By card.

The real challenge at Flutter By for this week is to get rid of the winter blah's and use bright colors.  Here is my card!

My card is just shy of being 6x6.  I used a black American Crafts cardstock base.  I used black because I wanted my bright colors to really pop off.  My pattern paper is from DCWV...two different past sets but amazingly the colors are exactly the same.  My butterfly border was made with the Paper Pups Cricut cartridge.  I used the border feature on the cartridge.  My image is from My Favorite Things Pure Innocence line.  The sentiment came with the image.  (Isn't she adorable???  The sentiment is what sold me on this stamp though.)

I used my stickles on my butterfly border:

and on my sentiment:
and on my image!  (Her hair flower, dress buttons and shoes)

Be sure to stop by Danni's blog to see what she did with her stickles!

Have an awesome day!

Kraftin Kimmie Challenge #110

My new Kraftin Kimmie stamps came in the mail on Saturday and I couldn't wait to dive into my package!  There were so many fun stamps to play with that I couldn't decide which to start with!  (Guess I took a little bit advantage of their Boxing Day sale..... ;) )

No better way to get my KK mojo working than to participate in a challenge!  Kraftin Kimmie Challenge #110 is to use at least three different shapes on your card.

This is Eva....she's a sassy one!  I cheated a bit int hat I already had my card base made.  It's one of my leftover Christmas card bases.  I thought the snowflakes matched her shovel though!

Thanks for looking!  Have an awesome day!

B..........is for Bunny

Today is "B" day at Erica's Craft room!  We could make any Cricut project starting with the letter "B".
To see more "B" projects, go to Erica's Craft room.

I picked a Bunny!  This Bunny is from Create a Critter and is cut at 2.75 inches.  I used googlie eyes and I popped up his tummy with foam tape.  The Hoppy Birthday sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Punny-licious line.  The border is from a Nestabilities die, I used a white piece of scrap paper.  It's a good way to use my smaller scraps!

The card size is A2 and is being donated to Operation Write Home.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have an awesome day.

Erica's Craft Room 100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop- Day Two

My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cartridge Hop

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room 100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop.  You should have arrived from Connie's blog.

If you are randomly arrived at my blog, you can go back to the beginning  HERE.  Don't worry, there are not 100 blogs to view, but we've used 100 cartridges.  I used six different cartridges to make my three projects.

This fun card was made with Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge.  This Pixy and her accessories are cut at 3 inches.   I hid the face features using my gypsy so I could use Peachy Keen Fun Kiddie Face stamp.  The card is an A2 size and will be donated to Operation Write Home.  I image that some little girl will be ecstatic about getting a cute pixy in the mail from her Daddy.

This card didn't come together like I thought it would but in the end I'm pleased with the design.  The tree is cut from the Meow Cricut cartridge at 4 inches.  I ran the green part of the tree through the Cuttlebug for added dimension.  The farmer and his clothes are cut from Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut cartridge at 3 inches.  I used Peachy Keen Basic Paper Doll Face stamp and a white gel pen to his hair, hat and clothes.  I used chalk to make grass and the sky.  I made the sentiment on my computer.

This card was so fun to make!!  I used the card feature function on Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge to cut the card shape at 11 inches.  I cut the pattern paper at 10 inches and cut the ends off to adhere to my card base.  The "Thanks" is from Lyrical Letter Cricut cartridge, cut at 2.25 inches.  I used foam tape on the back of the Thanks to pop it up from the page.  The stars are from the Paper Pups Cricut cartridge, it's a part of the border feature and cut at 1/2 inch.  I used pop dots for the stars as well.  I thought this card looked like a tootsie roll.  My inside sentiment says "You are the sweetest".

Here's an close up:

Hope you enjoyed seeing how I used five different Cricut cartridges to make these three card projects.

Your next stop is Jamie

Hope to see you again soon!  Have an awesome day!

OWH December Challenge- Get Sentimental

I'm playing along with Operation Write Home's December Challenge!  The challenge is to have a sentiment be the main focus of your card.

Whooooooooo loves you?

My goal this week was to make cards using the images I already had sitting on my desk that were colored and ready to go.  This card is my favorite of the group!  The stamp is from The Stamps of Life and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper.

Have a great day!

Would you EVER guess Wednesday

Today in Erica's Craft Room it's "Would you ever guess Wednesday" or "WYEGW".  The object of WYEGW is to use anything but the main features of  your Cricut cartridge.  There are so many more options than just the displayed image on the back of the cartridge box.  To see more projects visit Erica's blog at  http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

For my project I used Rock Princess Cricut cartridge- page 75 the heart font feature.  I cut my shadow and regular heart musical notes in 1.5 inches.  The stamped images are from Stampin UP! and colored with copic markers.  The scalloped edges were made with a Fishars punch.  Both white strips were embossed with the cuttlebug.

These two cards are being donated to Operation Write Home.

Thanks for visiting!  Have an awesome day!
