12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop - Day 1

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop!

You should have arrived from Theresa's blog.  You can start the hop from the beginning at Lisa's blog.

It's day 1 of 12 fabulous days of holiday projects.  I made a Snowman Wreath for my Grandma.

I used three different shades of blue felt and white felt.  I cut my felt into 2 inch squares, folded each square from corner to corner and then pinned into my foam wreath.

I used Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge to make my snowmen.  This one is cut at 4.06 inches.  I hid the face cuts using my gypsy, and stamped the face with Peachy Keen's Happy New Year 1 1/8 inch face stamps.  I doodled with a white and black gel pen.  I used a copic W-1 marker to outline the face stamp.  This snowman has been into the spiked hot apple cider!

This snowman is cut at 3.71 inches.  I used a white gel pen on the mittens, scarf and earmuffs.  The stamp is a PK Snowmany Faces, 1 1/8inch.  I used W1 copic and a pink copic (oops, didn't write it down!) for the rosy cheeks.

This snowman is cut at 4.53 inches.  White gel pen used on the hat and mittens.  PK Snowmany Faces stamp, W1 copic and pink copic for the cheeks.

The snowflake is from the Cricut Cartridge "Christmas".  It's cut at 3.71 inches.  I cut the shadow and the main cut.  Then I flipped the snowflake (using my gypsy) and cut the reverse.  My snowflake is now 2 sided. I used blue and white twine to hang my snowflake from the top of the wreath.  In the center of the snowflake, I put a clear jewel.  I also inked the edges a bit in blue ink.

Up next is Jillian!

See you tomorrow with another new Holiday 2012 project!  Have an awesome day.

Today I am displaying three different cartridges with three different projects.

This card was made using the Cricut lite cartridge "B is for Boy".  Everything except the white card base is a cut from this cartridge, and it's cut at 4 inches.  The light pink rectangle is embossed with the cuttlebug dots folder.

This little penguin is from Winter Frolic.  I cut him at 4.5 inches, added some wiggly eyes and doodled around the edges.  It's never too early to start your holiday cards! ;)

My final project uses Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge.  I designed this party favor on my gypsy a couple of weeks back.  Since then, my gypsy died and I have no idea of the size, but I did make it as large as I could.

It's a cute party favor!  I plan on putting an easter egg inside and giving it to a friend.  I added the handle by cutting a 1 x 9 inch strip of white paper, and 3/4 x 9 inch strip of pattern paper.  I used stickles to make my flower stand out a bit.  The center flower is a circle punch, edges inked and glued down.

Thank you for stopping by.  Your next stop is Kathy.

Theme Thursday- Winter/sports Activity

Welcome to Theme Day Thursday!  Today's theme is Winter/Sports Activity.  I chose winter, and what's more winter than a snowman??

My card base is 5.75 x 5.75, I used American Crafts Cardstock.  My snowman is from Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge, page 29.  I cut the snowman at 4 inches, I used the shadow feature as well as the initial cut.  I used Peachy Keen Snowmany Faces and colored the "carrot" with an orange gel pen.  The sentiment is from TPC Studio and it's popped up with foam tape.

Be sure to check My Cricut Craft Room for more projects.

Have an awesome day!

25 Days of Christmas- Snow

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects a day.
Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

Today's theme is Snow.  I am showing a project using Peachy Keen Stamps.

Here is my project..

This card is 5.75 x 5.75 inches.  I started with a blue cardstock base.  I added a red mat to my blue snowflake paper.  The snow angel and the winter fun sentiment are from the Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge.  I cut the sentiment at 2 inches and the snow angel at 3 inches.  I used 1/2 inch wide eyed kids face from Peachy Keen for the facial features.  I sewed around the entire card in a zig zag pattern.  I embossed the white cardstock with cuttlebug swirl pattern, tore and inked the edges and stacked them on each other.  My attempt to make it look like snow.  :)

Thanks for looking!  Have an awesome day.

25 Days of Christmas - Cookies

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects a day.
Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

Here is my project....

Today's 25 Days of Christmas theme is Cookies.  I am showing a food item for as my project.

I bought my cookie box at Dollar Tree.  I filled the box with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.  YUM!!   2 dozen 2 inch cookies fit perfectly in the box.  I added yellow curly ribbon around the box.

I made a tag to go along with my cookie box.  I used the Cricut cartridge Tag, bags & boxes.  I cut my tag with the shadow at 4.5 inches.  I used black American Crafts cardstock for the shadow.  The pattern paper for the tag is from a DCWV holiday pack from the past.  I inked the edges of the pattern paper with colorbox chestnut roan.  I made the stocking full of gifts from the Winter Frolic cricut cartridge, the cut is 3 inches.  I used Close to My Heart Celebrations stamps for the "to" and "from".

Here's a close up of the tag:

This makes a great gift to give!

Thanks for looking.  Have an awesome day.

Some Odd Girl- Dancin Mae

I'm so happy with how this card turned out that I'm actually going to enter it into SOG Guest Challenge!

The card itself is 6x6.  I printed Dancin Mae at 3.75 inches and colored her with copic markers and a little bit of glitter gel pens.  My Christmas tree is from the Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge and cut at 5 inches.  I used colored brads as my ornaments.  The star on top is golden rod stickles (and slightly wet still when I took this picture!  I know that because *it* accidentally touched me and I got wet glitter all over me.)  My background paper is from an old Christmas DCWV stack that I'm almost finished with.  The sentiment was made on my computer.  Notice I left off the "g" off in rockin' to match with dancin Mae! ;)  Think Kristy will give me bonus points for that?? LOL

Thanks for looking!  Have an awesome day!
Sheila
