Birthday Celebration Princess Style times Two

My favorite two little Princesses recently had a birthday!  Their birthday's are two weeks apart.  The Princesses Mom decided to have a combined birthday party.  I volunteered to bake a cake for their party.  I made a huge cupcake cake and sprinkled yellow and pink sugar on top.

Knowing these two adorable Princesses like the same things I decided to make their cards very similar to each other.  I used Once Upon a Princess cricut cartridge.  I cut the Princesses at 3.5 inches.

I made the sentiments on my computer.  I blinged up their tiaras with some stickles and stitched along the edges.

Another view of the cake from the top.

A good time was had by all!  I needed a nap after spending two hours partying with 8 little girls!  LOL

Thanks for looking.  Have an awesome day!

Crafty Contagion Pumpkin Challenge

It's the 4th Saturday of the month and that means it's time for a new challenge at  Crafty Contagion!  Our challenge is pumpkin....pumpkin color, actual pumpkins, etc.  Anything goes as long as it's pumpkin.

I am EXTREMELY excited about my card!  I was sitting at work one day when I had this idea for a fall card.  I drive by a pumpkin patch three times a week and lately every day the pumpkins are getting bigger and bigger.

I used a variety of items on my card.  The stamp is from Some Odd Girl.  She's colored with copic markers and hand cut.  I *love* how her hair turned out!

The pumpkins are from a cricut cartridge Gypsy Wanderings.  I used the border function, used two different orange colors of cardstock to alternate my cuts.  I added diamond stickles to the pumpkins for some bling.  The pumpkins are layered on top of each other.

The grass is an A* Muse Studio die cut, I layered it with two different colors to get that look.

The background paper came from a DCWV fall stack from a year or two back.  I used my sewing machine for the zig zag stitch around the edge of the card.

I'm going to send this card to my Grandma with a happy fall/thinking of you message on the inside.

Now it's your turn to come play along!  Show us what comes to your mind when you think of pumpkin.

Have a great weekend!

Cupcake blog hop!

It's a cupcake kind of weekend...for many reasons!  Today I am participating in a cupcake blog hop.  You should have arrived from the ever so talented Lisa of Honeybearz Designs.

If you just stumbled across my post and would like to start at the beginning of the hop, head over to Bernice's Sweet Escape!

In addition to being the cupcake blog hop weekend, this is also my birthday weekend. The card I made for the cupcake hop is a card for my birthday....to me, from me.

I love to bake....cupcakes, cookies, dog treats, brownies, cakes....etc.  I paired my baking girl from the Cricut cartridge Everyday Paper Dolls with some cupcake pattern paper.  It's hard to tell in the photo but I did cut out two of the cupcakes and popped them up with dimensional tape to make them stand out, in addition to the cupcake my paper doll is holding in her hand.  The solid blue cardstock are scraps that I cut with a nestabilities die.  I used twinery twine to wrap around the cardstock.  My paper doll is cut at 3.5 inches, the hair and clothing are all from my scrap stash.  Paper Dolls are a great way to cut down on your scraps hanging about!

Here is a sample of some cupcakes I've baked in the past month!

Don't those just look yummmmmmmmy??!!!

Your next stop along the Cupcake blog hop is Martha from A Scrapping Time.  Enjoy the rest of your hop and everyday is a good day to have a cupcake! =)

I simply love Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge.  Every time I make a new character I think it turns out better and better.  This one is just too cute!!  My paper doll is cut at 3.5 inches. The face is from a Peachy Keen Stamp.  The solid yellow is embossed with the cuttlebug.  I sewed around the polka dotted pattern paper.  The I (heart) 2 Bake stamp and the Kiss the Cook stamp are from a set I got at Hobby Lobby.
