Birthday Sundaes: Challenge #17

My crafty cup is very full these days!  I have a co-worker celebrating her birthday this week.  I made this card for her.

The stamp is from Fiskars, it's one of the rolling stamps, but I just used it on a large block.  I like this stamp a lot!  I'll find many future uses for it.  The chick is a cricut cut from my stash of already made cricut critters.  I used stickles on the party hat.  The card itself is 6x6.  I used fun bling along the bottom of the card.

I'm linking this to Birthday Sundaes Challenge #17!

Have a great day!  Tomorrow is the first day of My Cricut Craft Room's 25 Days of Christmas.  25 projects a day for 25 days will be shown.  I'm participating in at least 11 of those days!  Be sure to come look.

Stamping Up! --Card clean up day

These four cards were made for my Mom's 60th birthday celebration.  I made her 60 birthday cards, but only signed one so she'd have 59 blank birthday cards to use!

Have an awesome day!

Crafty Contagion Challenge- Leftovers

Welcome to another Crafty Contagion challenge!  Today we are challenging you to use your leftovers to make a project.  Are you still eating leftover turkey???  I know my house is! =)

I have a lot of doggie scraps from years of making my doggie scrapbooks.  My short term goal is to start making my way through those scraps and make more dog themed cards.    The background paper is from Boxer, the stamp is from the Stamps of Life and I don't remember who makes the vellum doggie words.  I inked the edges of the stamped image.  My card is very CAS.

Be sure to check out what leftovers the other Crafty Contagion members have in store for you!

Have an awesome day!

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps-- Clean Up Post

Either I've been lacking in my blogging lately or I just have an abundance of cards to share with you!  I'm cleaning out my folder of cards that haven't been shared to make room for new projects to share with you in December!

Today it's Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps clean up day.

I love the color of the flower in her hair.  It really catches my attention.

This Rainy Day Ruby girl must be a Cincinnati Bengals fan!  Her umbrella and boots remind me of their team colors.

What's your favorite Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp???

My Cricut Craft Room Recipe/baking day two

Welcome to day 2 of the My Cricut Craft Room Recipe/baking blog hop!  To start at the beginning of the hop, click here.  If you're arriving from Wendy's blog, you are where you need to be.

For today's hop post I decided to make a Salt and Pepper Love card.  It's not exactly baking/recipe related but salt does go in just about all baking recipes! =)

The heart and the arrow are cut from the Essentials cartridge that comes preloaded on the Cricut Expression 2 Anniversary .  The salt and pepper are from the From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge and are cut at 2.5inches.  I used a white gel pen to make dots on the salt and a black gel pen to make dots on the pepper.  I printed the sentiment from my computer.  My card is simple but I'm liking how it turned out.  I'll be adding this card to the stack of cards being donated to Operation Write Home.

Want a chance to win a bit of blog candy??  I made some gift card holders using recycled toilet paper rolls.  Leave a comment by Tuesday November 22nd for your chance to win 2 Christmas gift card holders!  Be sure to check back on Wednesday November 23rd to see who is the winner.

Your next stop is Laurie!

Have an awesome day!

Some Odd Girl- Dancin Mae

I'm so happy with how this card turned out that I'm actually going to enter it into SOG Guest Challenge!

The card itself is 6x6.  I printed Dancin Mae at 3.75 inches and colored her with copic markers and a little bit of glitter gel pens.  My Christmas tree is from the Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge and cut at 5 inches.  I used colored brads as my ornaments.  The star on top is golden rod stickles (and slightly wet still when I took this picture!  I know that because *it* accidentally touched me and I got wet glitter all over me.)  My background paper is from an old Christmas DCWV stack that I'm almost finished with.  The sentiment was made on my computer.  Notice I left off the "g" off in rockin' to match with dancin Mae! ;)  Think Kristy will give me bonus points for that?? LOL

My Cricut Craft Room Recipe/Baking Blog Hop

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room Recipe/Baking Blog Hop!  Today I'm sharing a recipe card with you.  To start from the beginning, click here.  If you arrived here from Wendy's blog you are right on track.

I frequently make cookie gifts.  I decided to make a recipe card to go along with one of my cookie gifts.  The card itself is 6x6.  The background paper is by TPC Studio.  The mixer, rolling pin and spatula are from the From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge.  All three are cut at 2.5 inches.  I used my white gel pen on the mixer to add some additional dimension.  I used a border punch on the solid blue cardstock and doodled with white gel pen.

The recipe is for Snicker Surprise Cookies.  These cookies are AWESOME!!  It's like eating a peanut butter cookie (yum!) with a snicker in the middle!  Over the years I've adapted the recipe a bit to my liking and they are always a huge hit with everyone.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for day two of the hop.  Tomorrow I'm sharing another fun card using the From My Kitchen cricut cartridge.

Here's the blog hop line up:

Next stop is Laurie!

Hungry hungry hippo!

This hippo just loves ice cream!  Ok, truth be told, I too love ice cream.  Can't say I'm crazy about a cherry on my ice cream, but I do love the sugar cone!   =)

This Hippo is from the Birthday Bash cricut cartridge.  He's cut at 3 inches.  The black markings were make with a gel pen, sometimes I find that easier than dealing with very small pieces of paper when building my cricut cuts.
The happy birthday sentiment on the above card is from a*muse.

The happy birthday eye chart is from Unity Stamps.

The happy birthday background paper was made using a cuttlebog embossing folder.

The ticket was made using an a*muse die.  The It's your day stamp is from Unity Stamps.

Have an awesome day!  Eat some ice cream!

From My Kitchen cricut cartridge-- thinking of you

I'm in Cricut exploration mode!  This old fashion phone (and yes, unfortunately I *do* remember using this type of phone growing up!) was cut at 3.5 inches.  It's from the cricut cartridge From My Kitchen.  I doodled with a white and black gen pen.

The sentiment is from Stamping Up!

Thanks for looking.  Have an awesome day!

I have a thing for red cowboy boots.....

I didn't even realize that I made both of these cards with red cowboy boots!!  I think my little boy red cowboy boot fascination comes from my little brother.  When he was a toddler he had a pair of red cowboy boots that he wore constantly.  Somehow that stuck in my head I guess! =)

This stamp is from La-La Land Crafts.  I used copic markers to color the image and nestablities to cut the shape.

The top card was sent to my Mom as part of her 60th Birthday celebration.

This card went to Operation Write Home.  The Dude sentiment is from a*muse.

Have a great day!

My Creative Time Challenge Entry- Baby Steps

While watching the football game on Sunday I was reading through blogs checking out projects completed by others.  I came across My Creative Time blog and found a challenge I wanted to enter!

I've been wanting to play with my "Baby Steps" Cricut cartridge.  I found an adorable baby in the tub cut that screamed cut me!  The cut was done at 3 inches.  I used my gypsy to hid the face cut features so I could use Peach Keen Stamps.

Thanks for looking!

Who doesn't like fruit with googlie eyes???  My apple is a cricut cut, cut at 3.5 inches.  The sentiment is a $1 stamp.

Have a great day!  Come join us at Crafty Contagion to show your Thankful projects.

Flutter by Wednesday #179

I spy a butterfly on this card!  That makes it eligible to enter into the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge this week.  Danni schooled me on what flutters and what doesn't flutter.  Pssstt....a dragonfly doesn't flutter!

The challenge this week is to link a friendship card.  I had the perfect image and sentiment from TAC for this theme.  It hadn't yet been inked, it was time.

Wedding Card and Paper Dolls

Today my baby brother is getting married.  I'm excited for him and wish nothing but happiness for both of them.    My gift to my brother is actually a regift of something I've had for years.  It was a gift to me from a dear friend but it just wasn't me.  I know you can relate to that!  So I'm passing it on...and no, I won't tell you what it is just in case that person checks out my blog someday.  LOL

I had my Mom write a poem for the gift and I made paper dolls to go on the packaging.

I cut my paper dolls at 5.5 inches.  Biggest paper dolls I've ever made!!  The wedding colors are brown and blue, that's why his tux is brown with blue stickles.  I added pop dots to his tux jacket and to her flowers to make them raise up.  Look closely at his hair....I gave him a "salt and pepper" look with a white gel pen. LOL...He's gonna kill me for that.  The faces are from Peachy Keen stamps.  I used stickles on the bride's flowers and dress.  These dolls look totally AWESOME in person.

Here's a close up of each:

I sure hope they make the journey across the country in one peace!  I'm not checking baggage, they'll be with me at all times, they might just have a chance.

Here is the card I made them.

This too is a huge card.  The circle alone is 5 1/4 inches!  The stamp is from S.W.A.L.K.

Thanks for looking!  Have an awesome day.

This is my best and favorite project of the week!  I'm linking it up to Some Odd Girl's Linky Party.

Sparkle Creations-- Swimming Lucy

Swimming Lucy is relaxing in her inner tube with an umbrella drink after a long work day..at least that is what I'm seeing today.  Lucy is from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps.  The sentiment is from The Angel Company.  I used copics, cuttlebug embossing and a heart brad.

Have an awesome day!
